Biography

Terrence Clark, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CA, Inc., heads up CA's ecoSoftware Business Unit.  His vision is to help public and private sector organisations evaluate their portfolio of green choices, while showing them how they can reduce their carbon footprint, save costs, seize on opportunities and be both creative and effective in pursuing a sustainability strategy.

In defining CA’s innovative approach to help companies and government agencies manage their sustainability mission, he has worked with a team of experts to develop software solutions uniquely addressing sustainability strategy, reporting, assessment, and program management, as well as enterprise carbon accounting, environmental monitoring, and environmental risk and compliance management.  In addition, organizations can improve visibility and oversight of energy use throughout their datacenters, buildings and facilities, using a centralized view of detailed energy-related information, allowing them to minimize waste, reduce energy costs, and decrease carbon emissions.

Terrence’s prior role was leading Engineering Services for the Governance Group, making sure CA’s customers were achieving the highest levels of success with CA’s governance solutions, including PPM (project and portfolio management), GRC (governance, risk and compliance) and information Governance.

Over the years Terrence has held a number of senior leadership positions in product development across a variety of solution areas such as Service Desk and Change Management. He has been with CA since 1995.

Biography

Durk Krol is the Deputy Secretary-General of EUREAU – the European Federation of National Associations of Drinking Water Suppliers and Waste Water Services. EUREAU gathers 10,000 water & waste water utilities & operators across Europe that provide sustainable water services to approximately 405 million European citizens.

EUREAU recognises that more needs to be done to ensure the long-term sustainability of Europe's water systems and to fully meet the expectations of all European citizens with respect to their water supply and wastewater services.

In line with this, EUREAU aims for a provision of reliable and high quality water supply and waste water services that protect public health; fully respect the natural environment; support economic development; and are socially acceptable.  Durk will discuss the opportunities available in these European markets.

Biography

Maik works as a researcher and business development manager for SAP Research, SAP (UK) Ltd. in Belfast. He holds a PhD from University of Muenster (Germany), in Information and Controlling Systems with a focus on Business Intelligence, investigating controlling and regulating partnerships. The core of Maik’s research is business aspects and business/market models for emerging technologies, e.g. in the fields of Smart Grids.
SAP Research CEC Belfast is actively involved in leading efforts in the field of future ICT systems and architectures to support sustainability as this is expected to be a centrally important topic in large-scale enterprise software.
